About GOAL Field Trips

Each year at in-person GOAL, Global Seafood Alliance coordinates field trips for GOAL attendees to experience the local seafood industry.

On the afternoon of Oct. 4, tour the Tacoma-based and Trident Seafoods-owned catcher-processor Starbound followed by the state-of-the-art NewCold cold-storage facility. On the afternoon of Oct. 5, join us for dinner and drinks at Taylor Shellfish’s Samish Oyster Bar and Shellfish Market.

1st stop: Starbound catcher-processor fishing vessel, Port of Tacoma/Alexander St.

2nd stop: Newcold cold-storage facility, 4601 South Orchard St, Tacoma

Northern Hawk Vessel, Seattle

Departure: Oct. 4, Fairmont Olympic Hotel, 2:30 p.m.

Duration: About 2 hours

Destination: Northern Hawk pollock factory trawler fishing vessel, Pier 91, Seattle
